
Nia Black
Mission Control Intern
Nia Black is a recent graduate of the University of Nevada, Reno where she earned bachelor’s degrees in English, French, and Spanish. She is our Mission Control Intern and assists the team in various projects helping accomplish tasks related to client and project development.
Throughout her college career, Nia pursued a wide variety of interests having worked in many different areas. As a waitress, administrative assistant, records manager, and track and gymnastics Coach, Nia has had the opportunity to work in an array of areas and develop her strengths in relationship building and adaptability. During her time at UNR, she worked at the Learning and Resource Center in the College of Education building as a librarian’s assistant where she helped patrons and assisted with the administration, organization, and functionality of the library. This job, along with her education inspired a passion for librarianship which led her to an internship with Rural Education and Development (READ) Nepal. READ provides access to books, technology, and other resources by establishing community libraries in villages across Nepal.
Nia is currently a Track and Field coach for a local high school. Her passions outside of work include doing/teaching yoga, traveling to foreign places, dancing to loud music, learning new things, and spending time with her family. Evolution at her core, Nia is constantly pursuing new hobbies and interests, always growing and accepting change.
